The Crested Butte Retreat is a boutique mountain lodge providing luxury accommodations for groups. This 11,500 square foot facility has been completely remodeled to provide the perfect setting for visitors seeking the best the Colorado Rockies have to offer.

The Retreat sits high on a hillside above the ski resort town of Mt. Crested Butte, a short walk from the ski lifts. Our guest rooms have panoramic views of the surrounding aspen and evergreen covered mountains and valleys. The structure has been designed with a blend of traditional and modern Colorado architecture and building materials including hickory and maple floors, soapstone stoves and slate and travertine bathrooms. The large open spaces contain soaring, cathedral open-beam ceilings and ensure a range of comfortable spots for guests to gather and relax.

The Retreat has 10 guest rooms, including five master suites with their own outdoor private hot tubs, and a large common area that includes a living room, dining room, kitchen and lounge. There are numerous decks and outdoor spaces to enjoy the sun, stars and alpine climate at our 9,375 ft. elevation. Other facilities include spa and massage room, outdoor Finnish sauna and a fully equipped gym and fitness room.

The area around the retreat is surrounded by almost 3,000 square miles of wilderness area full of elk, deer, and bear. Mountain bike single track and jeep roads provide access to breathtaking rivers, aspen forests and mountain passes. Visitors can take advantage of this outdoor paradise all year long. We at The Crested Butte Retreat believe that an essential part of our job is to help our guests discover and enjoy these outdoors wonders as they wish. We have teamed with Anthony Perez of CB Specialty Services to provide concierge services for all of our groups. partnerships with local guides and vendors specializing in all types of sports and recreational activities. Whether your passion is mountain hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, jeep tours, fly fishing, rafting, Nordic skiing, or golfing, Anthony can help you maximize your time and pleasure in the best places at the best times. Anthony can also arrange for grocery delivery, shuttle service, elopement packages, chef services, daily housekeeping, massages, babysitting, or anything else your group may need to have a wonderful stay with us.

Note from the owners regarding individual room rentals:Over the past couple of months The Retreat has been working diligently with the town of Mt. Crested Butte to solve a historic zoning issue with the property. As a result of this work and application for re-zoning The Retreat is now operating as a group-only rental property.
